The Mission of HEAR US NOW®
HEAR US NOW® was initially formed to address the plight of the hearing impaired as a technical issue. Building on that foundation, HEAR US NOW today is available to improve audio quality in situations where compromised sound interferes with the listeners’ enjoyment and comprehension of the event, from live venues such as Broadway theaters, symphony centers, houses of worship, and lecture halls to specialized situations such as an entire classroom of hearing impaired youth enjoying a Broadway play.
The success of HEAR US NOW has been realized via two distinct approaches:
- Creating patented technology to enhance electronic amplified sound uniquely.
-
Creating and funding social interaction and outreach opportunities for the hearing impaired, young and old, such as summer day camps, live theater events, and adult programs.
HEAR US NOW is deeply grateful to our early partners who have been instrumental in helping us with our mission. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Broadway Dallas (The Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas), the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, the Dallas Arboretum, the UT Bass Concert Hall, the Callier Center for Communication Disorders at the University of Texas at Dallas, and Idibri/Salas-Obrien.
